RB Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a consulting electrical engineering firm registered in the State of California providing construction documents and specifications for commercial and industrial projects. Both Principles of the corporation have a combined experience in engineering and constructability of electrical systems approaching 50 years. Our goal is to create construction documents efficiently and accurate per the clients’ requirements and specifications as well as offering proven cost reducing options at the clients request. Our clients can be assured their electrical design needs are being met and the constructability review of the electrical system is confirmed.

Ryan Bertalan

PRINCIPAL AND FOUNDER

Ryan obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University, Licensed Professional Engineer and Land Surveyors in the state of California, and a LEED AP. He has worked in the electrical industry for over a decade ranging from Electrical distribution equipment sales, to Electrical Design and Electrical Contracting.Ryan’s design experience consists of projects such as: Alexandria Lot 12 to Cytori Therapeutic in Biosciences; Mesa College 12kV infrastructure upgrade to multiple building, Francis Parker School Phase 6 in Education; Camp Pendleton Marsoc Phase 2 campus to Fort Bliss 1st AD Command and Control HQ in Federal/Military.His contracting experience consists of projects such as: Vista Community MOB, San Diego International Airport Landside Smart curb, Chromalloy manufacturing, Cymer Laser, and J. Craig Venter Institute – Net-Zero LEED Platinum.

PRINCIPAL

Ken is a Licensed Electrical and General Engineering Contractor. Ken’s career encompasses thirty seven years of experience in all aspects of the electrical industry. Prior to joining RB Consulting Engineers, he was an owner and Senior Vice President with Bergelectric Corp. Ken is extremely knowledgeable in electrical engineering of design/build projects, electrical and building codes, contracting operations, estimating, conceptual budgeting, project development, utility systems, and underground distribution. His engineering experience was acquired through several decades of working with Owners, Architects and Engineers on projects including large tenant build outs, pharmaceutical/lab new and remodels, military installations, hospitals, industrial, manufacturing, large retail centers, and casinos.
